Boulder Reservoir

Finished! This painting was slow, but fun to do.
8 x 10", oil on panel.

This piece is from a photo i took while with my daughter one summer in Colorado. These kids were having fun.

Addendum: I donated this painting spring of 2104(?) for a high school fundraiser, but did not know who purchased it or what has happened to it. I would like to know ...

Musica

First painting done in my Painting class at UAS this semester ... a warm-up of sorts. It is rather musical, as my son noted. I like it. It is approx 24 x 24", oil on panel.

...so today (2/7) i came back and named it.

Peaches

Peaches, after Julian Merrow-Smith. watercolor and pastel
5.5 x 4.25"
Left this as a watercolor and then had the urge to add pastel. It  very much changed the painting for the better.

OC&E Rails-to-Trails Trail in Klamath Falls

First post on my new "daily" painting blog - a little plein aire watercolor (3.5" x 5.5"). The bridge (in the distance) was built in 1898. The part of the OC&E Trail shown is near Hope Road in KF, Oregon. It was about 32 degrees, clear and beautiful.
My hope is to record my adventures in painting, mostly oils and watercolor studies, being open to trying lots of media. Seeing them on the blog will allow me to see if I have done what I wanted. I think this blog will keep my creative juices flowing
