Living is a form of not knowing ...

She was a dancer-artist and what she said resonates with me.

... not knowing ...

but
that is ok

just say
what if?

I want to murder painting. - Juan Miro

Quote found on Artdaily.org which I read almost every day:
I want to murder painting. - Juan Miro

Who else feels this way?
i do ... at times

I haven't been doing any painting for a few weeks now and really have to get going. I do have paintings to work on! It is so dark, and cold ... ughhhh ... but days are getting longer ...
have patience

Christmas is now over, it was a quiet one for us . . . and this is just fine with us
as we are not as extroverted as we used to be.

Bouquet (36 years)

Two versions of this ArtRage painting. I just can't decide which I like the best!

And I can't get them to be side-by-side. Help?

LadyBirdLake, Austin

TownLake/LadyBirdLake
This "lake" is actually the Texas Colorado River.

This is a pastel artrage painting...done plein air. No mess no fuss (well a little fuss) -

done while we were spending our last day in Austin after Thanksgiving visiting Hannie.

It was in the high 70°'s, ahem ... then we came back to Juneau ...

but it is ok, it was the holidays and snow is allowed.

I found this quote from Neil Gaiman (<3) on JessicaBurke's blog. It is a great new year wish.

"May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you’re wonderful, and don’t forget to make some art — write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself."

Cheers for the coming year!

Happy New Year!

This is a block print (edited a bit).     4.5" x 6"        It was our Christmas card for 2013.

(for a look at the way the block print looked, see post of October 30, '13)
